IIPD in collaboration with Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP) Ministry of Commerce & Industry organized a one day seminar titled, 'Innovation Through Design and Opportunities for Industry', on May 16, 2001 in New Delhi.

Mr. Bimal Raizada, Senior VP, Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd. and Member IIPD inaugurated the seminar. Speakers included eminent legal experts and officials from the Ministry of Commerce Industry, GOI. The Seminar was well attended by leading patent attorneys, legal executives, industrial designers etc.
