WIPO Asia-Pacific Regional Forum

WIPO Asia-Pacific Regional Forum on Policy Imperatives and Role of Institutions in Implementing a Public Outreach Strategy for Intellectual Property was held from September 4-6, 2002 at Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi. Participants from 24 countries from the Asia Pacific region attended the Forum. Mr. V Govindarajan, secretary, DIPP, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, inaugurated the forum. Some of the major issues discussed in the forum were : Intellectual Property in a knowledge based economy, implications of Intellectual Property on E-commerce, Intellectual Property management strategy in small and medium size enterprises and how well an effective Intellectual Property policy at company level would enhance your competitiveness in market place.
