India may become R&D hub for patents

DIPP is working towards making India into an IPR hub. Soon Indian professionals will share Global expertise. The government is also planning to network the Patent and Trademark offices in the four metros.

The government has tied up with Max Planck Institute Of Munich and the Australian Patent Institute for Developing an IPR Management Institute. With ground realities this institute will work as policy think tank and also provide critical inputs to the government for raising them in the world forums like WTO.

India is working towards developing a pro- IPR image, which will not only encourage the Indian companies but also the MNC's to invest here.
